Big Brother & The Holding Co. - Selland Arena, CA, 1968

It was on April 19th, 1968 that The Big Brother and the Holding Company along with The Mint Tattoo played at the Selland Arena in Fresno California. Note that the price of the ticket was a mere $3.50 and all those over the age of 35 were admitted FREE! What a promotion to get some of the older generation turned into the music of the times. Dale “Sogy” Oftedal was the artist that created this fairly Big Brother & The Holding Company poster with Janis front and center. A cool psychedelic piece!
