Etta James, Little Jr. Parker and Joe Hinton played in Vancouver on June 6th 1964. The poster advertising is a strong R&B bill at the "other" Hollywood Bowl up in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, a suburb of Vancouver. Miss Peaches, as Etta James was affectionately known, is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Both "Pushover" and "Something's Got a Hold on Me" had been recent Top 10 R&B hits for her. Little Junior Parker had been a member of both Howlin' Wolf's and Johnny Ace's bands, and Joe Hinton a superb soul singer reached #5 at the R&B US chart in 1963 with the hit "You Know It Ain't Right".
