Foo Fighters - Sonic Highway World Tour, Wrigley Field, Chicago (IL), Aug. 2015
On 2014, The Foo Fighters released an HBO special entitled “Sonic Highway”. In the documentary, the Foo Fighters toured the country visiting eight music-laden cities, like Nashville, Austin, LA, New Orleans, and more. In each city, they wrote and recorded a song that paid homage to the history of music in that town, and the result was their latest album, also titled Sonic Highway. Shortly after the documentary and the album dropped, the first show was a performance at Wrigley Field on October 27, 2014. After an year The Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl appeared again at Chicago's Wrigley Field, Sat., Aug. 29, 2015.The concert was part of the band's year-long "Sonic Highways" World Tour, which began on December 2014 in South Africa, has traveled throughout Asia, Europe, North and South America and wraps in Barcelona, Spain, in November 2015.
Here on Chicago stage, Grohl had a broken leg, suffered when he fell off a stage in Gothenburg, Sweden on June 12. That didn't stop him from kicking it. The band's special guests were Cheap Trick, Naked Raygun and Urge Overkill. At the end David Grohl was exultant, broken leg be damned!
