The Foo Fighters unveiled an official concert poster before Wednesday’s performance at the St. Joseph’s Health Amphitheater at Lakeview. The artwork, created by 1000styles, features a praying mantis-like alien from a UFO apparently attacking a stack of cars, with bumper stickers making references to “315,” “’Cuse,” and Central New York businesses like “Heid’s,” “Hafner’s,” “Tusk,” “Coleman’s,” “Hungry Chuck’s,” “Varsity Pizza,” “Brooklyn Pickle,” and “Middle Ages.” There’s even an iconic Syracuse Easter egg, about the famous event “Easter Egg Hunt” in this town, pictured prominently: An upside down traffic light.This was Foo Fighters’ first time performing in Syracuse in more than 20 years, previously playing the Landmark Theatre in 2000. The band was celebrating its 25th/26th anniversary this year, with hits including “Everlong,” “My Hero,” “Learn to Fly,” “Times Like These,” “Best of You,” and “Big Me.”
